Privacy Policy

Privacy isn't a feature of Lycense — it's the whole point.

Data We Collect

None. Lycense operates entirely on your local device. There are no user accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, and no tracking. We never see your license keys or any other data you enter.

How Your Data Is Stored

Your license keys, subscription details, renewal dates, prices, and notes are stored in an encrypted local database inside the app's sandboxed container on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or back it up yourself.

Import & Export

If you import licenses from a CSV file or export a backup of your vault, those files are read from and written to locations you choose on your own device. They are never uploaded anywhere by Lycense.

Network Access

Lycense works fully offline. The app does not send your vault contents over the network. Any incidental network use (such as the App Store checking for updates) is handled by macOS and Apple, not by us, and does not include your data.

Purchases

Lycense is sold as a one-time purchase through the Mac App Store. Apple handles all payment processing. We do not receive or store any payment information.

Third-Party Services

Lycense does not use any advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or tracking services. The only third party involved is the Apple App Store, which processes your purchase and app updates under Apple's own privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Lycense does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
